She also said there was no reason for her to resign despite breaking the rules twice which a lot of SNP supporters seem to forget mentioning.
Sturgeon pushing
I’ve spoken to Margaret Ferrier and made clear my view that she should step down as an MP. I did so with a heavy heart - she is a friend & colleague - but her actions were dangerous & indefensible. I have no power to force an MP to resign but I hope she will do the right thing.
Blackford drove all the way to Skye before self isolating, what has she got against Ferrier?
It was during lockdown not self-isolation. Same offence as Cummings and Jenrick. What happened to them?

He self isolated when he got back to Skye because he thought he had it. Cummings isn't in the SNP or even in government. Jenrick is just an idiot.

She can't force him to resign. It'd be a bad place to be if a prime minister or first minister could force an MP to leave their seat. There is a mechanism for constituents to do it.
She can express an opinion that he should resign as she's done in the case of her own MP.
Instead he gets paid for months for essentially doing nothing (he no longer attends) and a nice golden goodbye next spring.
Also came out yesterday that he was drawing expenses for his Edinburgh flat and cleaning bills. Good lad....
He was suspended from the SNP in February, iirc. He's currently an independent MP, so it's a bit of a stretch to be having a pop at Sturgeon over this.

So Blackford did the same as Jenrick, it was only Cummings who actually had symptoms and broke the self-isolation rules? Funnily enough I know that Cummings isn't in the SNP thanks. He's also non-elected though he appears to be running most government departments at present.
Stalking you? WTF are you on? I was responding to your response and correcting it.

It was Cummings' wife that had symptoms not him when he went for his drive. He should have been sacked as he broke the rules at the time, no question, I would say this SNP MP is the biggest idiot so far and Sturgeon has done all she could on this.

Though it's history, I thought both he and his wife had it. She wrote about it in The Spectator
Dominic Cummings collapsed and was confined to bed for 10 days with severe breathlessness after contracting the coronavirus, his wife has revealed.
Boris Johnson's chief adviser contracted the deadly illness at around the same time as the Prime Minister, but little was known about how badly affected he had been.
Writing in The Spectator, Mary Wakefield said her husband should have been hospitalised when his symptoms worsened.
I guess it will be her local constituents and party that will force her hand in the end? What a brain dead thing to do!!

I believe his Covid kicked in after the drive north, he clearly caught it from his wife and as he knew she had it (although no testing at the time) he shouldnt have gone anywhere, the plum.

He also rushed home to his sick wife, decided she probably had Covid & then returned to work in Downing Street before the Durham interlude even started. At that point he was quite possibly infectious.

He said he had no symptoms and didn't have a test, he went into isolation for two weeks as a precaution because his wife has a lung condition

If whatever I’ve posted led you to believe that I somehow support him then I must clear that up, I don’t.
However, it is still the case that the police have said no offence had been committed, so apart from chucking him out of the party, I’m not sure how much more Sturgeon could have done.

gobsmacked she hasn't resigned yet
SNP MP who flouted coronavirus self-isolation rules by travelling hundreds of miles across Britain to attend the Commons visited a gym, shops and a beauty salon on the day she became ill.
Margaret Ferrier posted images on her social media showing her out and about in her Rutherglen and Hamilton West on Saturday - the day she was tested for Covid-19.

There is world of difference in the actions of Blackford and Cummings, Blackford did not break the spirit or the letter of the guidelines.
Blackford was subject to what they thought was a "Gotcha" from Breitbart, which is the equivalent of using Newsthump as a source, only not funny, and even they couldn't come up with anything to show Blackford had broken any rule, law or guideline.

If you believe the spirit of the lockdown involved a 12 hour plus drive (with what should have involved multiple stops for safety reasons with tiredness) from the hottest of hotspots in the UK after the lockdown was announced when he had perfectly adequate accommodation in London, that’s fine but you would not think the same if a Tory did it because hypocrisy know no bounds with the true believers, they are able to contort any old justification just so their team is ok. The same is true for the Tory fanboys as well.

Blackford made his journey a couple of days after lockdown was announced, he was going home as was allowed under the guidelines, as other MPs from all parties did.
Even Breitbart concede this was allowed, their defence was that Cummings didn't break guidelines, but he broke them numerous times, going into work when he was ill (though I can't remember if this was before or after the lockdown announcement), the journey to Durham ie travelling to another household, and then "testing his eyesight" by driving about with his child in the car for a jolly.
