You need to apologise fella. Be the bigger man, recognise you let yourself down. In here you don't need to actually get your wallet out and buy a drink.
What for? You were being a deliberately obnoxious troll and got called out. Don’t like it, don’t do it. Same as you got in the last place.

Now, about those congratulations?

Given you are clearly needy. Congratulations. 🎉

A good try by the former England U20 captain.

The shots from above showed Schoeman dominating his man and driving forward. I will watch it again, but I don't think Nel went back, the scrum wheeled.

It's a lot easier for the loosehead to be dominant, it's just the way a scrum works. The scrum wheeled and the fact that many times those scrums are decided to be a penalty for the side who feeds actually shows that most times refs want to get the scrum over and done with as a way to restart play.

Certainly today the ref wasn't interested in establishing a scrum pattern,

Props and coaches have brought this situation about by trying to milk penalties, I don't blame the refs

LCD shit the bed there but he's a beefy close-quarters powerhouse hooker who found himself trying to defend a cross-field kick almost on his try-line in acres of space against an opposition winger - I'm not really surprised he panicked. He has some of the blame there but why were we in that situation? Well, as soon as Smith came off we suddenly defending really narrow and that gave Scotland the opportunity to attack wide one side, then put that kick through. I don't think it's fair to say it's all LCD's fault. The damage was already done, he just made it worse with a moment of panic - but the team had already suddenly panicked.
Yep - good point about no one else being in place to deal with it. But a seasoned international shouldn't panic to the extent that he did. All in all we just wasted so much possession prior to that - we should of had a bit more of a cushion by then. Ah well - there were some good things to come out of the game - and some glaring deficiencies that need to be addressed. I don't think Marcus had one of his better games - I think he needs a bigger inside centre to work with.
Can’t see Smith did much wrong. Although he did have the laser sharp scrummie passes to work off. But why the f take him off then. Just confusing the hell out of me. Please someone explain it to me.
He didn't do much wrong - bar missing that cross field kick to our unmarked winger. Either way it seemed very strange to take him off when we were just 3 points ahead and still 20 mins to go.

Laws. But yes.

Glad we won, but England should have got the job done long before that became an issue. Eddie’s selections in the backs didn’t work and iffy substitutions got us off the hook.

Again, I haven’t watched it as yet, but I can entirely understand a ref not wanting a tight game to be decided by a scrum penalty when it’s often so hard to be sure who actually infringed. I have thought for a while that scrum penalties should mostly be replaced by free kicks - the team with a dominant scrum already has an advantage, they don’t need to be able to win regular penalties with it as well.

Exactly what I said. The Scot's tight 5 stay pretty well bound, Shoeman gets the drive on and are clearly on top. English LH drops off Nels shoulder and walks forward.

Needs to return to a competition for the ball not the penalty, unless there is blatant infringements. Just being physically inferior to you opponent should not be a penalty.

That’s the issue with having a nicer house than Andre Watson, more reluctant to make those big calls.
LEWIS MOODY: I’m too busy getting my head stuck into a ruck for one-liners, but there was a classic in the 2003 World Cup final. Referee Andre Watson came into the dressing room before the game and said: “I won’t be giving any penalties at scrum time. You can bet my mortgage on it!” So in extra-time, after he’d awarded two in quick succession against us, Steve Thompson was on the floor and he looked up at him and said: “Andre, you must have a terrible house

Eddiot's defence coach is an Aussie called Anthony Seibold isn't it? His first job in any form of RU is the one he has now, coaching England rugby players from elite Premiership clubs and academies how to defend. He wasn't even considered a very good RL coach and got sacked from his job in the NRL before Eddiot saw his potential as a man who could say yes and ask no questions, presumably because he wouldn't have a clue what was going on anyway.

His work with Wasps doesn't exactly recommend him. We had half a season of looking amazing when all of our best players were available and games were being played twice a week to see out the first covid season. The prior half of the season and the one that followed were pretty mediocre for the club. Obviously that's not all on him, but I can't see it being much of a recommendation for the national side either.

Although getting into the England set up at the moment seems to require one of the following:
- being junior enough not to know enough to challenge Eddie
- being old enough and insufficiently successful/problematic enough that you're running out of options
- being available at the time Eddie next fires/scares off all his back room staff

It was a cracking finish to a try made from a fantastic bit of footwork, pace and rugby nous.

btw, Darcy Graham was one of three starters today from Hawick, a town with a population of nearly 14K.
They've had many many capped players for Scotland and a good few Lions too, not bad for a wee town in the Borders.

The club with the most Scottish caps is London Scottish, it's just the way a diaspora works.
