I think Fakatava will get a lot of game time with the Clan, as they have greater depth and resources across the park this year, allowing Smith to stay fresh.

The minute I saw BB holding the ball to kick off the match I’m thinking wtf. Why does he feel the need to do that. Same with drop outs, it’s not like RMo is Cruden when it comes to distance, I just don’t get it. It’s not a job that needs to be shared it’s the role of the 10. CC is right, RMo is ...

My takeaways:
I must 'eat crow' I think, as Akira Ioane was monstrous. A 9/10 effort.
The greatest challenge will be to develop the next generation of 9's. Fakatava, Roe and TTT I guess, because at least two will be needed for RWC.
ALB and Goody must look at either being swapped, or playing inside ...

So having spent the last 5 years searching for our starting blindside flanker, Ian Foster continues to rotate players through this position? This time it's Akira Ioane getting another turn. This refusal to settle on a player to wear our no.6 jersey shouldn't surprise anyone, Ian Foster has been a ...

The Argentinians are doing what they do every time they play. Scrum, niggle, push, tackle, shove, and can hurt you. This is how they always play. How can the AB's be so obviously, woefully prepared for what they are facing?
Some of the AB's forwards have hardly carried the ball, unlike Frizell. What ...

Talented player who has clearly left the Clan under a cloud. Ironic as he was their best player during the last month of Soup, and is Canterbury's best now. And the Clan have retained that useless long-haired lout Gregory, who can't catch a cold, and is as quick as I am :)

Having just watched the replay it is easy to reflect upon a couple of factors:
First, the ABs were walking very early on, so maybe they had a quiet week with the travel and hadn't done a lot.
Then, because of that, yes they were passive and missed a lot of first up tackles.
Third. they gave up a lot ...

The red card certainly didn't help, and I liked that Sam Kane explained the AB's response as 'solution-based,' and left little time for 'gameplans.' Maybe some naivety in not having an 'injury break' or two to get some clarity?

I guess too that RMo will be sleeping well tonight!

I'm pretty sure, like most, I saw Lumpy as a 'fill in' if Crotty, ALB, Goodhue went down injured. Then came that ANGRY game, when he showed quite a bit more. Do I think he is one-dimensional? Yes. Whisper it quietly, but apart from Clarke today, I thought Hodgman had an outstanding debut. The scrum went better when he came on, and that was before Laulala's arrival. He was also strong in all the other areas. I think in one outing he's leapfrogged Tuinukuafe and Lomax.

I thought D Mac was good, but so was Jordy and he's a lot bigger!
Clark, Bridge and Jordan took their opportunities, while ALB and Reiko achieved more than the South midfield.
Beaudy, RMo, and Josh all looked sharp, and Smith was light years ahead of the other 9's.
Sotutu, Frizzell and Ardie ...
