Stemmed the flow a bit, but still not looking great. Tom West must surely get another chance with England this summer, he's becoming a seriously destructive scrummager.
Edit - typed far too soon. Irish grab a third.

Was worth sticking with it to see Wigglesworth and Genge loose it in 89th minute and hear a pissed off tigers crowd again.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 3:32 pm Switching over to Wasps - Irish now, but Tigers with a score on 65 minutes to make the last 15 very interesting.
Afoa destroyed Genge in that scrum. Kay is probably right that the ball was illegally grabbed by Uren but by that point Genge was practically facing his own corner flag. Penalty to Bristol all day long.
VERY funny ending.

Foley completely bottles a clear red card decision. Hepetema straight up shoulders him in the face as part of a tackle and he gets a yellow because it's 'not a high degree of danger'. Arrant bullshit.
Sounds like the one Radradra got away with against Sale, just because the player managed to bounce through.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 4:10 pm Foley completely bottles a clear red card decision. Yep, two tries of our own and seemingly having been given a rocket by Blackett at half time and the gap is down to 13 with 25 to play.

Nice try from Willis junior, but Umaga's missed conversions could have had us within 4 rather than 8...

May is still very rapid. Bassett got hauled in pretty easily a few times in recent weeks.
Excellent club player though, fantastic servant for wasps.
He got hauled in by Sleightholme, who's very rapid. Also, any winger is slower with the ball than without. Wonder who the quickest English winger would be now, don't think it's May any more.

Hat trick try for Willis jr. seals it!
Hell of a second half for Wasps.

We've now lost three of the last five games on the last play of the game.
I hate rugby.

We had a run of losing in the last 3 minutes, that was 6 games out of 7 (a couple of games ago that stat was put out). Saints game felt similar too.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:43 pm We've now lost three of the last five games on the last play of the game.

I was looking at it wondering how it was any different to the one Foley gave a yellow for yesterday in Wasps - Irish; always high and shoulder to the face, so the only variable is one official willing to decide on seemingly no basis that the incident is 'low danger' whatever the fuck that means in the context of being shouldered in the face by a 17 - 20 stone player.
How exactly is the game ruined? And I'm almost always going to point to the fact that if anyone should be blamed for "ruining" the game, it's the guy who got the card, not the person giving it.

You're reading stuff I never said. I didn't say the card wasn't deserved, or that the referee was to blame. I pointed out that there was often little consistency with those sort of tackles. And ruined, for me, because as a Saints fan who wasn't looking forward to 65 or whatever minutes with 14 men against Exeter. As it is we're doing alright so far.

Hell of a 25 minutes from Saints after the red card. Exeter look all at sea and shell shocked at being that comprehensively outplayed.
Quite!Oxbow wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 2:37 pmYou're reading stuff I never said. I didn't say the card wasn't deserved, or that the referee was to blame. It also felt like the TMO was always looking to a red. Not sure why the fact that LC-D was always bending downwards to catch a pass that was waist high at best was not even mentioned in mitigation.
Hope this hasn’t buggered Ribbans chances of a cap this summer. He’s one of the form locks at the moment

Oof, tough finish for Saints. Exeter were always going to come back at them, but you thought they might just have snuck it wiht that final move.
They sent it wide to early I think and that led to the rather hurried pass Freeman had to desperately try and rescue from going into touch and which ultimately went forward in his attempt.

Yep, gutsy from Saints though!sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 3:55 pm Oof, tough finish for Saints. Exeter were always going to come back at them, but you thought they might just have snuck it wiht that final move.

So Jones has confirmed that Ed Robinson will continue as Assistant Coach for attack for the summer matches and that Alex Codling has been appointed as Assistant Forwards Coach with particular responsibility for lineout
Hmmm, not particularly inspiring but cheap I expect!!!

Mate of mine knows him well and yes he struggled with Gustard's style as did a lot of players and staff it transpires. Not sure why he suddenly left Ealing after rejoining them from Quins.
