Not really there are too many games adding more international is just as stupid as more championship cups ....

Georgia makes more sense at any rate.

Eh? There were literally no games on the calendar. This tournament is a replacement for the Autumn games that can't happen this year, not a new annual tournament that's going to bloat international fixtures every year. Every single Union needs test rugby desperately right now, I thought you'd be happy to see some.

There is a stupid European Cup from last year to play and irb thinks a few more international games are needed..
It's too many.
The clubs and unions are at war over this, and it's not going to be pretty

After the Lions tour and RC in tatters maybe it's time that SA Rugby get us in the tournament as soon as possible.

The URC will be a good trial run

There's not much appetite to watch South Africa play tbf. England v South Africa in the autumn might cause eye cancer.

 I take it that’s a Saffer style joke?

After the Lions tour I think there is even less than zero interest in Bokke joining the 6N

Not surprised. Thoroughly beaten in pretty favorable conditions for the BIL.

If you think no crowds, no atmosphere and no “spirit of rugby” are favourable for the 6N, it’s probably best you stay at home

Boks severely underprepared due to Covid in the camp. No test games on the Highveld.

When one reads the comments made by the Lions supporters one would be lead to believe that in the Tests the Lions played only beautiful running rugby, scoring breathtaking tries from all over the field. No kicking, no up and unders, no grinding forward play, no caterpillars at rucks. One would be lead to believe that it was only the $pringboks who played ugly rugby.

Whereas is the real world the Lions played ugly losing rugby. When the Jock 10 came on they played more attractive rugby, but to no avail.

I'd rather win ugly.

I must of missed all the threads praising Gatland and the rugby the Lions played.

It was the worst Lions tour in living memory and then some, perhaps the worst of all time. At least Woodward has got that monkey off his back.

I know we sometimes accuse other fans of being one eyed, but this reads like you've viewed the board with none. There has been a lot of dialogue about how disatisfied we all were with the Lions' style of play. Some of the criticism of Gatland has been downright withering.

There are pages and pages of whining about our tactics. Compare that to the odd mention of Gatlands tactics.

Don't want the world champion Boks because they play "boring" rugby.

But ok with Italy shipping hundreds of points every tournament for the last 20 years.

 we'll join it if we want to. And if we do, we will win it in our first year.

Herein lies the issue.
The very best of the combined strengths of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales were comprehensively beaten by the $pringboks. Chances are we would win the 6N at a bit of a canter. They would rather not be shown up again, so they would rather keep Italy and maybe add Georgia, Japan and or Tonga / Fiji to keep their winning percentages up.

As much as they have accused us of being bad winners, they are incredibly bad losers.

what has that to do with the 6N? The Bulls are a Provincial Team, playing a Club Team.

Its like saying that the $harks lost to the Griquas. Ra$$ie thinks that $harks are the best, therefore the Bok$ will lose to the 'Kwas.

Mallett and Paulse summed it up well after the Arg test. We play a different style, not always all out running, but pretty effective. There are no style points in rugby. We do what we have to do to win. You don't like, bugger off.

It's up to the other teams to break us down. I actually think a test SA vs Kiwi's will be a great watch, a clash of styles and gameplans. That is what makes rugby great, so many ways to play the game.

I am sorry but if the BILs couldnt beat the Springboks with such an outdated gameplan that goes back to 2007 with all the nations at their disposal I really don't want to watch another few years of crashball rugby thanks.....just to prove we can dominate the NH...eventually we will slip into a similar catachonic frame ........

The biggest problem is that SARU has boxed themselves into a corner now .
Vok....brainless muppets that run around swinging dicks all over the show thinking they are the worlds greatest for beating the BILs , and Argentina , who were just so so poor its not funny

We are wanting to join, and I think it will be better for the 6N that we play rather than Italy, but it seems like the supporters REALLY don't want us.

Boks in 6N will suck. We already have repeat fatigue where we watch SA teams play each other 7 times.

Now we’ll play NH club teams for 6 months, then the November tours, then 6N from Jan-March?

Fuck that.

Nobody up here wants South Africa in the 6N.
