Yeah…..you’re not exactly a neutral in this fight.

Also who hates a rugby team? That's missing the point in spectacular style

The Welsh and Scottish hate a rugby team. And most of the Irish. And the French definitely hate a rugby team.

The SA franchises joining the URC competition a huge success.

Springboks beating Wales, current 6 Nations champs and full house crowds in the next two tests show how much value on quality rugby and income we will add.

Tonga brought in a full house crowd ffs

No-one gives a shit if you're better than Wales or even every other team in the tournament, it has nothing to do with not wanting SA in the six nations

I don't want South Africa in the 6N, and it's nothing personal and shouldn't be taken that way.

The 6N is special because of the tradition that goes with it, it should be an annual competition between the best in Europe, yes Italy have only been with us for 20 years, but I'd rather have Georgia join us than South Africa.

I don't care that the standards would rise with South Africa, or that more money would come in, it's not about that. I know a lot of people dismiss tradition in the rush for cash, but it should not be poo-pooed or dismissed, some things are important - I could write a small essay about the excitement on 6N weekends, as a kid I used to get the train up to Edinburgh with my mates and walk along to Murrayfield, or on away weekends you get the papers out on Saturday mornings and read every column inch about the upcoming games, later as a club player we always had early games in Edinburgh so that we could watch the international match. My hometown club has the oldest club fixture between Scottish and Irish teams, it's been going for 70 years now, played on a Friday, dinner, piss-up and then in to Dublin or Edinburgh the next day.

The 6N is fine as it is.

You lot are definitely spinach in this metaphor - something everyone has a bit of now and then because they should rather than because they want to.

Yeah, I really like playing the South African teams in the URC but the Six Nations is something different. It's not really about the standard of rugby, it's more about the occasion as fans. Traditional trips away, and Edinburgh being packed with rugby fans for the weekend.

Same. I do however wish that WR would extend the November test window to 4 weeks.

That way, two of the SH Big 3 can work in a Tier 2 test as a warm-up, and one SH team per tour can crack at a Grand Slam. That team can maybe be rotated so you only get a shot every 3 years between World Cups.

People are often scared off change. If all of us thought like you guys we'll still be going around in horse and cart and bleeding people with bit of fever. Its a brave new world people, just learn to embrace it or you'll be left by the wayside .

Exactly. It’s just as daft as bringing say Barcelona into the Premier League, leave well alone,
