Very disappointing result. I followed the end of the game on twitter, they were down to 14 after Creevy got sent off midway into the second half for nutting Jamie Ritchie whilst he was on the ground.
LI scored a try under the sticks on 78 mins
Moving the 1st choice 10 for a winger injury is plain daft especially after 33min.I like neeps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:18 pm At the Irish Edinburgh game and I have to say Jaco van Der Walt is one of the worst players I've seen live. Just awful. Consistently crabs and then shovels absolute sh*te out wide. Woeful.
Get him out Mike!
They'll give some excuse like it expelling droplets into the air and posing a higher covid transmission risk.
The difference between Kinghorn and VdW is crazy. Blair's attacking system works beautifully when the 10 attacks the line and the passing crisply. Neither VdW can do. I want a stewards inquiry on his Scotland cap.Big D wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:51 pmMoving the 1st choice 10 for a winger injury is plain daft especially after 33min.I like neeps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:18 pm At the Irish Edinburgh game and I have to say Jaco van Der Walt is one of the worst players I've seen live. That, as well as they plan all week for BK at 10 then throw it out the window because of an injury in the position thats easiest to fill in an emergency just doesn't feel right.I like neeps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:00 pmThe difference between Kinghorn and VdW is crazy. You have to question Wilson don't you.
More than enough experience and internationals on that pitch. No leadership at all in the last 30.
Sure Brown and Wilson were poor when they came on and they're the leaders. But Glasgow have far too many capitulations these days. It's on Wilson.Big D wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 7:48 pmMore than enough experience and internationals on that pitch. No leadership at all in the last 30.
Players should take the blame just as they took praise for beating Exeter pre Christmas.
I take it he was good again then?
At least 3 or 4 Chief's players would have something to say about that, including Hogg!I like neeps wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 8:34 amIt was when Darge went off it become such a palavar. He was the best player on the pitch, again.
As I said it's a very very interesting decision for Townsend. I'd play Darge though.
Sorry to clarify I'm not saying Darge should have won motm but Exeter scored the majority of their points after he was replaced. Was the best player on the park until he was subbed then Exeter just ran riot.SaintK wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:16 amAt least 3 or 4 Chief's players would have something to say about that, including Hogg!I like neeps wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 8:34 amIt was when Darge went off it become such a palavar. Mind you I have to say I was puzzled he was hooked, easily Glasgow's best player up until then.
His mum or dad I guess both him and his brother played age grades. Not sure he'd want to throw his lot in with Scotland quite yet. Backrow is a competitive spot for us and he's only this year a regular prem starter. Might make sense for him to wait a year or two.
Just to follow on from this, end-of-season rumours are that Schoemann is off to Sale and Cips is being released, leaving Orlando Bailey, some youth squad and not much else at fly half - of course Bath are after another 10, but suspect this means Redpath might be seen as cover at 10.inactionman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:55 pmSchoemann (T) has ben out for a while (although I think he might be approaching end of rehab), Cipriani has had concussion and covid and general knocks and not sure about Orlando Bailey - he's not in squad so assume crocked/covided.KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:41 pmAt 10 no less. The phrase 'Schoeman is off to Sale' made me panic for a minute until I realised it wasn't Schooooo.inactionman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 9:40 amJust to follow on from this, end-of-season rumours are that Schoemann is off to Sale and Cips is being released, leaving Orlando Bailey, some youth squad and not much else at fly half - of course Bath are after another 10, but suspect this means Redpath might be seen as cover at 10.inactionman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:55 pmSchoemann (T) has ben out for a while (although I think he might be approaching end of rehab), Cipriani has had concussion and covid and general knocks and not sure about Orlando Bailey - he's not in squad so assume crocked/covided.KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:41 pm

No great impact on Scotland, other than some specific development of his distribution skills which is no bad thing for an IC.
Also no clue if there's a search for a replacement for Faletau/Mercer, or if Bayliss is seen as the fulltime 8 (he's been in and across all backrow positions).
Kyle Rowe is in the squad! Looking forward to margin_walkers review of White.clydecloggie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 2:03 pm
And the Toony Tombola Award goes to....Ben White! Commiserations to Kyle Rowe for just missing out.
I doubt many knew apart from him and the Scotland coaching team.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 2:19 pm Ben White's been superb since he signed, albeit usually off the bench. Didn't know he was SQ. He's a better 9 than Steele for me.
