These same morons have been conditioned by decades of sending their life savings to televangelists, & grifters like McConnell, & the orange Traitor is just the logical endpoint.

I share your concerns, the US is becoming a pot of bubbling shit where right wing extremism is being seen as the norm now and any attempt to bring a rational and caring approach to Gov is being shat on by the right wing grifters and nutters.Rhubarb & Custard wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 6:47 amI think many would be concerned Trump is far from an endpointfishfoodie wrote: Tue Sep 05, 2023 10:15 pmIt''s way beyond gaslighting on the, "Base", it's full on Hypnotoad !Uncle fester wrote: Tue Sep 05, 2023 10:04 pm Tarrio gets 22 years.

For example Biden has begun to tackle the price gouging by big Pharma companies with insulin capping the price at $35 for those on medicare via his Inflation Reduction Act. He is now moving onto another 10 costly drugs and will allow Medicare to renegotiate prices. The Republicans voted against this citing socialism or something no doubt fuelled by their big Pharma backers.
Gun control is another obvious issue. I used to go golfing with mates to SC every couple of years but stopped after the covid pandemic but also because of Trump. SC is a pretty right wing state and the change in atmosphere and increase in gun incidents over the 20 years we went there was enough to convince us not to go back.

What actions are being taken to control the rise of white supremacy in the LatinX communities?
Whenever someone talks about politics when I'm in the US, and I'm being expected to say something, I tend to take the line of 'from an overseas view, what's astonishing is just how polarised your politics is. It's odd that there's only politicians at the extremes and no one represents the people on the ground who are more usually a bit more in the middle'. Everyone, everywhere thinks they're in the middle, so it generally goes down ok with people from whatever part of the political spectrum.Rhubarb & Custard wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 10:52 am

Oh dear, how sad .....
I hope the jury apply a significant multiplier to the previous damages, because we all know the only thing he cares about is money.

https://edition.cnn.com/2023/09/06/poli ... index.htmlTrump is liable in the second E. Jean Carroll defamation case, judge rules; January trial will determine damages
A federal judge ruled that the jury hearing E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit will only need to decide how much money Donald Trump will have to pay her, after the judge found the former president was liable for making defamatory statements.
The finding is a significant blow to Trump, who is facing numerous criminal indictments and civil lawsuits – many of them coming to a head as he embarks on a presidential campaign.
......
In May after a two-week trial, a jury found Trump sexually abused Carroll and defamed her when he said in 2022 that he didn’t rape her, didn’t know her, and that she wasn’t his “type.”
In that case, the jury awarded Carroll $5 million in damages.

And because he been using money he's fundraised for personal expenses, Smith is probably going to charge him with campaign finance violations which could lose him access to all that money !EnergiseR2 wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 5:42 pm He's isn't paying for any of this anymore. He has millions of idiot followers ponying up for every fuckwitted mistake he has ever made. Secretly I wonder does he know he is probably too big to fail
In other good news, cheese & krackers are going to have their speedy trials together in Georgia, which, for Chesebro, is like going swimming while having a block of concrete connected to your meat & two veg with piano wire. This of course highly, highly motivates him to take a plea, & start doing some cooperating.
There's also word from Florida, that a number of the Documents witnesses have now dumped their lawyers paid for by the Traitor, so they may now also be cooperating, rather than face prison for perjuring themselves.

Peter Navarro, the latest mouth breather to get found guilty, where he can now join the Jan 6th morons in the pleasant surroundings of the DC prison system.
On general principals his lawyers should be disbarred for advancing such an imcompetant defense of their client !
Despite the fact that their client has now been found guilty of ignoring a subpoena from a congressional Jan 6th investigation, they & their cretin client, advanced an, "Executive Privilege" defense, which was just a tiny bit compromised that the fact that the Traitor wasn't the Executive anymore, & the person who was, cooperated fully with the investigation; probably because he didn't try & organise a coup.

What the orange shitgibbon spouts, and his dumb as fuck cult followers scream about..

The Biden Administration wants to now make our Army Tanks all Electric so that, despite the fact that they will not be able to go very far, fewer pollutants will be released into the air
Followed by the truth..
The Army wants to field a fully electric tactical vehicle by 2050, and to develop the charging capability to meet those vehicles’ needs by the same date, according to its 2022 climate plan. By 2035, it plans to field a hybrid tactical vehicle and run a fully electric non-tactical fleet.

Looks like Musk is now determining US Foreign Policy?

Meadows attempt to move his Georgia case to Federal court rejected, & given that he had the strongest case, that pretty much makes anyone elses attempts moot, but it also removes his biggest opportunity to evade justice & thus makes him making a deal much. much more likely.

You mean the god fearing, family values first, Christian who thinks that Christianity should come before the constitution?
After having her plastic tits fondled, whilst having a good old grope of cock, vaping in front of pregnant women, whilst still legally married and a grandmother by a 17 yr old son and a girl who was of legal age..(that's 14).. Congresswoman..

Hearing her man friend's bar loves the gays and has had Drag and Trans nights. No outrage over that as well as their behaviour?
But the Reps continually cry over the most nothing shit, either real or made up.
Our version in Canada continually bring up Trudeau doing blackface at a costume party in 2001 and as a student for stage production, which he apologized for. ... not good enough for the right wing nuts who call him a traitor and the worst PM in history.

Endorsing Congressman Jim Banks for the U.S. Senate from the Great State of Indiana was a very easy thing for me to do. I was happy to see that, after the Endorsement, some talented and professional people, but not talented and professional in a league with Jim, all drooped out of the race. Jim has no choice but to be GREAT because Indiana’s other Senator, Todd Young, has been weak & ineffective! Jim will be replacing a very good and talented Senator, Mike Braun, who is running for Governor
