Well at least it saves Saints getting another reaming.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:37 pm Saints have been forced to forfeit their game with Gloucester as players are required to self isolate following the Sale game.
Refused permission to bring in loan front rowers to complete the fixture.
Bit of a crap end to the season.

Wasps - Chiefs is a bit scrappy and cagey so far.
Robson's at the heart of everythign going right for Wasps as per.

Leicester vs Quins is a fine old cripple fight.
Quins looking like vintage mid 2000s England. Any time anyone makes a break there is absolutely no one in support.

Not sure what we're checking that for, looked fine in real time and on the first replay.
Try Umaga.
Try Umaga.
Lovely little darting run and score from Umaga, I’d prefer to see him pass to make absolutely certain of the score, rather than try and bundle over himself - he’ll take some huge hits in that sort of position in the future.
And about a minute later, Dan Robson pounces on a spilt ball and sprints in untouched!
Wasps 20 - Exeter 0

No one was ever catching Robson in that situation.
I got very nervous when it became clear he was going himself.
Kieron Brookes looks like he’s successfully made the transition from ‘young buck prop who might have made the odd sprinting break’ (see Leon Brown, Ellis Genge) to ‘gnarled old bastard focused on bringing the hurt in the tight’. Always a watershed moment for a prop.
For me the problem is his attention span. He's been a good player for a while, but there'd be moments in defence especially when chasing a ball etc, that he'll be staring at the ground as he jogs forward, not paying attention as someone runs past him. He does seem to have improved in that in the last season or so.Ali Cadoo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:39 pm Kieron Brookes looks like he’s successfully made the transition from ‘young buck prop who might have made the odd sprinting break’ (see Leon Brown, Ellis Genge) to ‘gnarled old bastard focused on bringing the hurt in the tight’. It's so nice no longer being terrified when Wasps aren;t in possession.
Very much so, which is great as our scrum and maul have become viable weapons rather than restart options.

Great finish by Marchant playing on the wing.
On the other wing, Earle looks terrified of contact.

Last I remember, he broke through at Saints, played an absolute blinder to get MotM in a televised game, got an England cap and then fell off a cliff... I assume it was injury? He’s still a lucking fump, definitely got ‘all the tools’ for the propping game.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:42 pm It's so nice no longer being terrified when Wasps aren;t in possession.

Bristol 17 - 0 up against LI.
Would have been more if 'Sarries player is the best on the pitch' Malins hadn't inexplicably dropped the ball jogging round behind the posts to score.

He's certainly had his injury issues, but a real drop in form was definitely a factor.Ali Cadoo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:49 pmLast I remember, he broke through at Saints, played an absolute blinder to get MotM in a televised game, got an England cap and then fell off a cliff... We've so few victories over them in recent years that beating anyone wearing that shirt is quite nice.

Saints pretty much ruined him, they had a habit of doing that to props when Dorian West was in charge.Ali Cadoo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:49 pmLast I remember, he broke through at Saints, played an absolute blinder to get MotM in a televised game, got an England cap and then fell off a cliff... Not thinking it means anything when it comes to playing Exeter 1sts, but Robson is putting in some very very clever touches, regardless of opposition.

They just showed it at half time. That'll give him nightmares if the bears don't get the BP.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:54 pmDid you see it? A worldly. Better than Faz a few years back. Not quite in Leiguizimon's league though.

If you love not to see wretchedness o'er charged, don't watch the Leicester vs Quins match.
Bath have still got some work to do - could get interesting in the 2nd half - Bears need two more tries against Irish. I can't see Exeter's B team holding off a Wasps BP.

Defence into attack again with great kicks from Gopperth and Minozzi, BP secured
