Re: Bledisloe III: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sydney 31st Oct

Strange post. Rotation is one thing, but despite 90% winning rate, Hansen and Foster chopped and changed so much between 2015 and 2019 that we went into last year's RWC without a settled front row, backrow, halves combination, midfield, back three and bench. The only settled part of our team was th...

Re: Bledisloe III: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sydney 31st Oct

You're only damned if you lose. Changes/or non-changes that precede a loss will reflect badly on a coach. That's why some of us were so fraustrated with Hansen and Foster. They enjoyed a winning % of close to 90%, but still chopped and changed constantly between 2015 and 2019. There was no need to ...

Re: Your newest purchase

Do you rate Stihl chainsaws? our house was bought under probate and had a whole suite of Stihl chainsaws and strimmers etc in the garage... I have fired up the strimmers and used them and they were fine. I have been a bit of a chicken shit about using the chainsaw incase I kill myself... They'll be...

Re: Your newest purchase

Fuck that mate, you are brave or mad. The one cheap power tool I would never consider using is a chainsaw. I don't know that I'd call Husqvarna cheap. To fix an oil leak I've had the motor out of the frame and disassembled it quite a bit. The only slotted fasteners I found on the whole machine are ...

Re: Your newest purchase

Stihl would be the competitor to Husqvarna, but I never got on with Stihl, I always found them bastards to start. I always thought Stihl was the benchmark until I started using other saws. The best utility/consumer saw I've used is a Solo 645 - 2.2kw. Just keeps starting easily and keeps running. B...

Re: Your newest purchase

I was an agricultural fencing contractor for a long time and I used all sorts of saws, but I'd swear by Husqies. The forestry contractors I knew all used them too. I've used their consumer saws before and wasn't terribly impressed, just like any other saw really. But I like their professional versi...

Re: Your newest purchase

The Chinese experiment didn't work out. Trying a Frankinsaw off TradeMe. A 359xp bottom with a 357xp top; a bar off something else, obviously not made for Husqvarna as I've had to shorten the chain by one link to middle the adjustment; a chain of a style I've never seen before; a Stihl chain sprocke...

How does that sentence compare with the liquor store guy and the countdown selfie merchant? Given the circumstances that they actually had a tangi to get to youd think the others must be longer Perhaps that the others returned, if they did - not too sure. The daughters were excused or not charged.

Re: Mosque Shooter sentencing - and what to do with the body

Weapons manufactured expressly for killing human beings shouldn't be allowed into the hands of the general public. End of. I'd change that to weapons which are too efficient shouldn't be allowed into the hands of the general public. Because after all the SMLE and the K98, for both of which I have a...

This is exactly why I voted (twice) for Labour last time and why I might vote Green this time. I'm not surprised Bennet is so short sighted he doesn't realise our economic wealth depends on the view our markets have of our practices and processes. We've seen the responses to regulatory regimes that ...
